What’s involved?

Before the initial consultation, I provide an in-depth health and nutrition questionnaire for you to complete as accurately and openly as possible and this should be returned in advance of our first meeting.

The initial consultation typically lasts 90 minutes. In this time I ask detailed questions about your current health concerns, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment, medical history, family history, lifestyle, levels of physical activity, use of medication, supplement intake and current diet.

From this information I aim to build up a comprehensive picture of what factors may be contributing to sub-optimal health. In some cases, I may call upon the help of diagnostic tests such as a hormone profile, comprehensive digestive analysis (using DNA analysis), food intolerance & adrenal stress index. These provide further insight into specific imbalances.

Together we pinpoint your specific health goals. With these in mind I use the extensive body of research for nutritional science to develop a personalised, safe and effective nutrition and lifestyle programme tailored specifically to your needs. Where necessary, targeted supplementation may also be recommended as part of a broader nutritional programme.

How many consultations do I require?

This is dependent on the client, however it is usual to have a 45 minute follow-up session 4 to 6 weeks after the initial consultation in order that I may monitor the progress made and re-evaluate the nutrition and health plan if necessary. Further consultations may be warranted, depending on how well the client is getting on and if they require further support. This will be agreed with the client as required.
